Happy Homemaker Monday 10/6

Hi friends!

It has been a fantastic week for blogging!  Last Monday, I finally took the time to just start a new blog.  I had so many technical difficulties with trying to get my old blog imported and getting the domain to work that I just decided I didn't have time to do that and started again.  It's been a great week of blogging for me!  I think its a great thing when you get back to the basics and just write, just share and just be yourself.  It's been wonderful getting to know new friends and finding some that I have followed before.  Since we are (hopefully- although the weather doesn't seem like it...) entering cozy season I'm ready to jump back in and blog about so many things on my heart!

Today it is supposed to get back up to 86 degrees, much to the disappointment of my fall-loving boys.  So I allowed them some extra outdoor time this morning, which means I have some time to blog today!  So I'm joining Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for our weekly Monday catch up!  If you're visiting from there, hello!  Say hi so I can come visit you as well!

I had the best weekend ever ya'll!!!  We visited our first NFL football game!  I'll update about that in the "From my Camera" section, but honestly, it was one of the most enjoyable things I've ever done!!!!!!!  I did write a post all to itself, that's one of those "Core memories" that you have to write about so you never forget it.  But there are a few pics here in case you don't have time to read my post!

So, lets catch up!

♥♥ The Weather ♥♥

Looks like we have a couple of hot days ahead of us.  My alexa said 83 today, 84 tomorrow and 78 Wednesday before we get back into fall-weather feels.  That's okay- I still love where we live!  It was also 80 at the game yesterday and my Dad (who lives in the mountains) was saying how hot it was- but I thought it was delightful, so maybe 80s won't be so bad.  But I do love the 70s that we've had the last couple of weeks, and I will miss it this week.  As will my boys.

♥♥ As I look outside my window ♥♥
It is beautiful outside!  My flowers by my 'barn' and in the rosebush are actually still in full bloom.  It adds some color since I haven't gotten any Mums yet.  I didn't even know that these seeds would do anything haha.  I picked them up from the dollar tree to fill in some sparse places between my lilies.  Surprise! They bloomed and even after the lilies were gone for the year, these little zennias are holding on tight!

♥♥ Right now I am ♥♥
Enjoying my fall candle, enjoying the cool weather that will only last through the morning, and getting ready for a busy day of putting my house back together after being gone over the weekend!

♥♥ Thinking and pondering ♥♥
How blessed and thankful I am for the wonderful life God has blessed me with.  I saw a sign in hobby lobby last week that said "I remember when I prayed for the things that I have today."  And that's so true!
Also, sometimes I really mourn the fact that my kids aren't so little anymore- but when we go and spend the weekend together like we did, I realize how great it is that they are in this awesome season of life.  They are amazing kids, and I enjoy them so much!  And the ballgame wouldn't have been fun with really small kids like it was with my older ones, so I'm enjoying this season immensely!

♥♥ Listening to ♥♥
It's very quiet.  Just the hum of the ceiling fan!

♥♥ How am I feeling ♥♥
Refreshed!  I crashed hard last night after a busy weekend and slept really good. Excited about fall and working on some home projects I've pondered on this weekend!

♥♥ On my blog ♥♥
I'm working through posting for blogtober!  Posting daily is a challenge and I don't think I've ever done it before?  But it has been fun so far!
Also, Saturday I posted a pretty personal blog post about goals that I want to have for the rest of the year.  Can you believe we only have three more months in 2025?  There are a few things I want to change before a new year, so I think giving myself three months is a pretty good time span!

♥♥ From a friends Blog ♥♥
My friend Sandra is the one who inspired me to begin Blogtober!   Follow along with her journey!

♥♥ What I'm wearing ♥♥
So Target has these sweatpants lol, the brand is Wild Fable, and I'm a little obsessed.  I have a few of the different ones, but the knit ones are by far my favorite, I'm very hot natured and these are thinner than the others.  But I did buy them in three different colors, if that tells you how much I love them lol
So I have those on (in burgundy) and a simple black top.  It's my new home uniform lol.  I just need to master the 'front tuck'.

♥♥ On my reading pile ♥♥
As I mentioned I did send some books back to the library last week due to them having terrible language in them!  So I'm going back to the ones I was working through.  I allowed my kindle unlimited membership to cancel so I ordered the physical copy of Sisters of Fortune because I thought my daughter would like to read it after me. If any of you have read this, I noticed that another book, The Second Mrs Astor is on a prime day deal, so check it out, it was one of my favorites!

♥♥ On my TV this week ♥♥
Not sure, I want to start working out and usually Hart of Dixie is my go-to workout show.  I've read a lot of stuff about fall and the Gilmore Girls.  I've never watched even one episode of that show.  Should I?

♥♥ On the menu ♥♥
Monday: We have a rescheduled football game tonight, so there will be pizza.  I'm not sure what Stephen and I will eat- likely not pizza lol.
   Tuesday: Spaghetti
   Wednesday: Chicken and dumplings
   Thursday: Enchiladas
Friday: Another game, hot dogs and sausage dogs for the kids, its their last upward game for the football season!
   Saturday: Not sure

♥♥ Looking around the house ♥♥
I do have some projects I want to tackle..  one in specific, I'll be sharing about that one, its close to my heart!

♥♥ To Do List ♥♥
  •     Laundry
  •     Vacuuming
  •     Grocery shopping

♥♥ From my camera  ♥♥
So this got a post all of its own!  Bucket List Item: Our first NFL Game! But if you haven't had time to read, here are some pics from our trip this weekend!!!!  I always knew I would like going to an NFL game, but I had no idea!  I LOVED every second of being there, everything about it was perfect!!!!  It was just- the best.   Check out the post for the whole story :)

And no, Miami didn't win lol, but my husband and daughter are actually Carolina fans.  They wore their
Dolphins shirts to support my oldest son who has loved Miami all of his life, but nobody was really upset about the game, we enjoyed it SO much, it was a good game and we had the best time ever!
