Blogtober Day 10: Favorite Sports Teams

 

Fall- Tis the season for Football!!!

   We have always been a football family!!  My husband and I always loved football- from our early days as Cowboys fans, to loving our home team in the 90s, we just love football!  We were always Panters/Cowboys fans, then my son was born and when he was about three he decided he was a Miami fan!  So Miami has a special place in our heart as well!  We recently were able to attend our first NFL game, and that was the best!!!  Our youngest son also decided really early in life that he was a Redskins fan- so of course he's loved them and we love them as well- we also do like the name Commanders, we weren't super disappointed about that!

   I graduated from Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) so as far as college football we are all App fans!  We also live about 25 minutes from East Carolina University, so we pull for the pirates as well (Unless they are playing App!) My sister graduated from NC State so I've always liked them, and my family from home are long time UNC fans.  That's a little complicated lol!  My boys pull for the Florida Gators.  They never have been the type to go with the flow lol, they always come up with their own thing!

   Being from North Carolina we love pulling for the Hurricanes in NHL!  Hudson loves the Penguins.  I don't know a lot about hocky lol, but we like to watch it!  

   I grew up an avid Braves fan and actually went to a game with my grandparents when I was a child and that was an awesome memory, so I like the braves.  We are excited that they are building a new Minor league stadium close to our house so we hope to go see some of those games next year!  My boys like the Marlins (Hudson) and the Athletics (Sawyer).  As usual, they are going to do their own thing!

   As far as basketball, I tend to join Sawyer (my youngest) in pulling for the Golden State Warriors.  Hudson pulls for the Hornets which of course I will as well since they are our hometeam!  I loved the Orlando Magic growing up as well!

   So as you can tell, we are for sure a sports family, but on top of them all is football- and we are right in the middle of football season!
